"We're very sorry we were not able to post a proper response earlier. While we indeed intended to release the PC version of Greed Corp shortly after the console versions, the exact release has not yet been confirmed. We expect to announce a final release date for both the digital and boxed version of the game within the next few weeks. I'm sorry I can't be more specific at this time."

And the nature of the delay is _______, and we're doing _________ to get it resolved.

You forgot a sentence. I helpfully wrote it for you, you just need to fill in the blanks.

Are you writing anything up Trent? That is if you actually look back at this forum any time soon.

I'm writing up a little poem thing atm. Dunno how long it will take me though, I've only made a couple of verses so far.

Cool! I've been slowly pressure cooking with anticipation to see what the game will look like and that looks cool! I like the look of the tank too (I think I'll always be partial to the walkers though).

EDIT: Awsome harvester too! =D

I don't understand it, either. How hard can it be to make an announcement or give a statement? I guess people would even be happy just being acknowledged. How about a "Sorry guys, we ran into some problems and cannot give you an exact ETA." Would that be too much?

Instead, you let people hang there without any information at all, secure in the knowledge that they will still buy the game when it finally arrives for the PC. While that may be true, still the way you treat your potential customers is weak, very weak indeed.

Just writing some message here for the people still waiting and rooting for the game may take five minutes and would go such a long way.

Same as the above two. considering you guys are indie, Im frankly amazed you dont make better use of twitter and rss to keep potential customers updated. the longer you keep between the release of the XBLA version and the pc version, the less you get to benefit from any positive press the XBLA version recieved. But then, you know this, right? you're not stupid guys. there has to be some sort of reason that for all intents and purposes, there's nobody home here.

you counter this by communicating with your fanbase, keeping them in the loop. There's No Mac version. ok, why not? "no" isnt really a valid answer. "no, but it'll work with dualbooting, or No, but you'll be fine with an emulator" is more helpful. even the more-positive but entirely laden with bs "we have no plans for that at this time" is more friendly.

Update us. Tell us you're still waiting to here back from the publisher, or that code is in a final review process. if you really dont have anything new to add, post concept art for new mistbound games. keep us drawn in. Throw out a poll asking us what direction you'd like us to take the game in. you dont have to listen to the results, but you DO have to engage with your potential clientbase if you expect to make sales.

Right now you're failing at PR. the sad part is that you're an indie Dev and nobody expects much, but you still cant be bothered. Get with the program.

What a coincidence, I just wanted to post the same thing as AyeKorombos. I check the website and forums from time to time since before the release on console. It has been for months now that the "Coming Soon" message has unchanged. There is absolutely nowhere for any PC news to be found of the game. As if the game is just forgotten, we get messages for releases in Japan and discounts, but where is the PC version?
This is just not a way for a group of enthusiasts of this game to be treated. Communication is a big part of marketing and promotion, and a lot of small indie-devs are great at it. Too bad you guys fail at it, and I feel a bit ripped off.
Sorry, it had to be said.

I've been following the PC release since I saw Greed Corp reviewed on G4. "Coming soon" for the PC was a bit of a lie. Months is not "soon." "By the time you've forgotten it exists, it will be ready for the PC" is more like it. There are only two weeks left of summer vacation and no strong sign of a PC release :(.

Man I've not looked at these forums for months. Anyway nice ideas there I wonder how he game would change if you added those different types of walkers. It'd certainly make it more difficult to predict what your enemy will do next. I totally agree though lol Mistbound is awsome and I wouldn't be surpirsed if it eventually turned into one of my favourite game universes in the future.

I'm not to sure if this is a bump, but seeing as this is still on the first page I guess it's alright?
I believe Greed Corp has everything it needs. If DLC/Expansions/Etc. (more content eg more maps) were released I would buy them right away.

I would love it if you guys came out with a sequel to Greed Corp still set in Mistbound (mistbound is awesome btw. can't wait to see what's next.) But for the sequel there could be so many things that would just make the game even better. Obviously a level editor, with just basic options (eg height, time, fog, tiles, etc). There could also be some new modes, like Capture the ______. The object you are trying to capture would have x "HP", and by sending walkers at it you would lower its health and whoever gets it to 0 would capture it and win. It seems like that would lead to some intense multiplayer, with all sides strategically placing harvesters or using cannons to cut off their opponents. Another mode could be Domination and there would be a set amount of turns and whoever was in possession of the most tiles when there are no more turns left would win. That could also be intense with different levels of height and people trying to take out enemy tiles with harvesters and defending their own tiles etc etc. If any new modes were added it would be cool if they had editable options so you could choose how many turns there were or how much "HP" something has.

To add a little more depth you could add different types of tiles like floating steel tiles that would never break but would be unable to get harvested. There could be harvestable tiles that wouldn't lower in height or there could be tiles that wouldn't lower from a cannon shot. In order to even things out though these tiles would have to lower from either a cannon shot or harvesters because if they never lowered it could effect gameplay. You could also add stations/towers/statues that would already be on the map, and in your possession you would recieve special benefits eg +5% income or -3g on cannonballs. Anything to that effect. These structures should be able to get destroyed.

Maybe the final things you could add are some new types of infantry? They would all do the same damage, but some types could hold more in a single tile? The types who could hold less in a single tile would cost less. An example would be:

Rookie Walkers - 14 per tile - 1g
Walkers - 16 per tile - 2g
Tactical Walkers - 18 per tile - 3g

My last idea would be multiple campaigns or campaign options. You could choose a specific faction to campaign as and the story for each side would be different all the way through, and maybe that way there can be more information about Mistbound? (: Maybe there could be different campaign modes. An example would be a hard mode where the AI was given more beginning tiles or more beginning money. Another could be a low budget campaign where you recieve 15% less supporting funds. You could add co-op options where you can team up locally or over live to go through the campaign with a friend/somebody. If there was a level editor maybe you could be given the option to string together a custom campaign using the levels that you have created. Going off of the custom campaign thing, it would be sweet if you could play your own custom maps or campaigns over live.

These are all of my ideas that may make the game more interesting. They were just suggestions, so please don't flame me @_@

If there are any errors, forgive me it's late and I'm very tired.

Well, Q3 is not that far away and after we finish the game, we still have to get it out there. At this time I don't have an indication of how long that might take, as other parties are involved and we still have some stuff to take care of. We do have some cool things to share with you once we have a fixed release date, so we'll keep you posted.

If you really want other music why not just mute your tv and listen to your ipod or your stereo or something( o lol btw this is agreeing with broken hexagon). I never understood what was so difficult about that. The music goes with the whole mistbound theme and i personally love the music. It's extremely catchy for a simple jazz tune. Seriously i can't get that damn tune out of my head when I'm playing lol

suicidekills on "Button to display height of all tiles?"

Hey aylien,

I gotta say i don't have the same problem as you because when it's somebody else's turn I usually try to pay attention to the heights of all the tiles especially ones that are more associated to me. I also try to account for one the heights will be by my turn judging by the harvesters and moves other players make. So basically i have a rough idea of the heights of the tiles all the time. Also when you see the height of one tile its pretty easy to predict the height of the adjacent tiles. I'm sure once you get used to it, it will be a lot easier for you. Also moving around with the cursor doesn't take up that much time and with a sixty second turn you have plenty of time to finish your turn. This game is truly brilliant I wish there were more people playing it. o and btw pixel junk monsters is another excellent game for anyone that enjoys those tower defense games.
