XBLA/Twitter artbook competition closed, winner announced

The number of ratings for Greed Corp on the Xbox.com Marketplace has passed 1000! That means the XBLA/Twitter competition is now closed and that we have selected a winner.

Congratulations to Ian Lucier (@CrazyBagMan) for winning the 40-page Mistbound artbook! We will soon contact you via Direct Message to ask for your location details, so we can get the artbook shipped to you as quickly as possible.

The artbook contains exclusive artwork for Mistbound, Greed Corp and our next game. The foreword is written by our creative director and the book features the original six drawings that served as the beginning of Mistbound.

For all the people that tweeted in the competition and others that enjoy our artwork, we’re doing an update to the artwork published on this site and on Facebook. But of course some images will remain exclusive to the artbook…

Xbox LIVE Arcade and Twitter artbook competition

Over the last months, we’ve been showing you more and more of the world of Mistbound by revealing some of our concept art. Now, a large collection of this artwork, including some exclusive never before released images, is bundled into a 40-page Mistbound artbook! It even contains some sneak peek material of our next game…

We’re giving away one of those artbooks to one random person from all the people that participate in our Xbox LIVE Arcade Twitter competition. You don’t need to have Greed Corp or even an Xbox, but you do need a Twitter account. To participate, first you need to go to the Greed Corp profile page on the Xbox.com Marketplace and rate the game. Then tweet the bold/italic text below through your Twitter account.

As Greed Corp has officially been released today, the competition to win a free copy of the game is now closed. You can of course still register to use all the features on the site, but you will not be entered into the competition anymore.

We have selected ten winners from all our registered users, who will get a redeem code for the full Greed Corp game on the console of their choice (XBLA or PSN). These are the lucky winners, in alphabetical order:

Welcome to the new Mistbound community website!

After launching our front pages for Mistbound and Greed Corp a while back, we’ve been working hard on a more elaborate website. That community website is now live, you’re looking at it! This website is intended as the primary location for all things Mistbound. Both the world itself and all our games that take place within it.

Of course you can find all the media and news here that we put out, including all screenshots and trailers. With the launch of this website, we’re also starting our developers blog, with coming articles on the development of Greed Corp, future products and other interesting stuff we do inside and outside of the office. All written by a variety of W!Games employees from different work areas.

Other blogs are coming up as well, including one by an Empire general that will tell you all about the strategic details of Greed Corp. We will also share with you the stories found in a legendary pirate leader’s travelling journal. You will learn more about him in Greed Corp, but his writings will give you more insight into the world of Mistbound.

An a more technical note, we have integrated the message board system with the main site tech, so that you can use one profile across all pages and forums. This unfortunately requires you to register again if you were using the old message boards, but by doing so you’ll get a chance to win a free copy of Greed Corp. Check out the competition post for more information on that.

We’re still making adjustments and additions, so look out for some improvements and more content. If you run into any issues with the site or the boards, please let us know on the forum we made for that.

So you want a free copy of Greed Corp? Good! All you need to do to get a chance to earn a free copy, is register on this site. The link to do that is in the upper right corner of the page.

The competition will go on until the release of Greed Corp. On that day, we will randomly select ten accounts from all registrations, those will get a free copy of Greed Corp. If you are one of them, we will ask you whether you want it for Xbox 360 or PS3 and supply you with an unlock code. All we want in return is your Gamertag or PSN handle, so we can add you to our friends list and play a couple of matches.

This competition is only for the console versions of Greed Corp, we will get to a PC promotion later. If you don’t have an Xbox 360 or PS3, feel free to give your code away to a friend. Or sell it on eBay. Or better yet, get a console to play it!
