This patch should be available NOW. Just turn on your PlayStation 3, start Greed Corp and it will automatically ask you if you want to update to a newer version. If it appears like the patch is not yet available in your region, please allow for some time and try again later today. We have confirmation that the patch has gone live both in Europe and America and we just updated our own European version of the game.

If you ran into the ranking server error, you should now be able to find and play ranked matches again with previously locked up accounts. Your progress, like matches played and skill points, should remain intact and you can continue from there. If you did not experience this error, there are still some things in the patch that you might find useful.

Here’s a short overview of the most useful changes made by the patch:

• Ranking server error fixed: If you were previously locked out, you can now play ranked matches again. The cause of this lock has been solved.
• Previously played in XMB: Players you encounter in online matches are now added to the previously played list in the Cross Media Bar.
• Scoreboards past position 100: You can now view the scoreboard positions lower than the top 100.

Unfortunately, we don’t have a download link for the PSN version in the PlayStation Store, as you need to get it through your PlayStation 3. We do have the link to Greed Corp’s profile on the UK PlayStation website. The game is priced at 9.99 euros (or local equivalent).

They are the Cartel, a shadowy web of corporations, and the third of the four factions from the innovative turn-based strategy game Greed Corp from W!Games, releasing on PlayStation®Network, Xbox LIVE® Arcade for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system and Windows PC in early 2010.

Excelling at pulling everything that is valuable out of the earth, the Cartel are fast, efficient and thoughtless in their single-minded pursuit of profit. Publicly establishing alliances only when it serves their own corporate purpose, their extensive network of spies pursues their true aims unhindered in the background. The Cartel are as trustworthy as jackals.

The unit used to mine the earth’s natural resources is the harvester, and the cartel’s is the best there is. In Greed Corp, the harvester turns land layers and land tiles into spendable credits, but slowly destroys the land itself by doing so. A true tactician, understanding the offensive value of a harvester, can initiate a self-destruct. This can create a strategic advantage, but it will do even more damage to the environment, possibly triggering a chain reaction of collapsing critical tiles.
